UMBRAL resume las inquietudes que han rondado mi trabajo en los últimos años apoyándose en técnicas, que si bien no son del todo novedosas, representan una nueva posibilidad en mi obra. Umbral es un proyecto efímero y dinámico que se desarrollará durante cerca de 3 semanas y que comprende intervenciones en barro sobre la pared  y una cortina sobre papel pergamino con fragmentos de dibujos dividiendo la sala. Las imágenes nacen en estructuras emblemáticas que han estado en el origen de mi obra más reciente y tanto en las paredes como en la cortina central evocan cúpulas, frontispicios, bóvedas, galerías, corredores y puentes. Las paredes contendrán dibujos que se construyen sobreponiendo diversas capas de barro aplicadas a partir de plantillas con dibujos matemáticamente elaborados. La cortina central ha de tener un elemento fundamental en la iluminación que permitirá una doble lectura de acuerdo al lugar del cual se aprecie. El título, UMBRAL, tiene además un significado más específico en este caso pues hace referencia a ese punto de quiebre en el que se pasa de un lugar a otro atravesando un limite a partir del cual el espacio es otro.

 

 

 

 

 

 

THRESHOLD

THRESHOLD summarizes the concerns that have been on my work in recent years relying on techniques, which although not entirely novel, represent a new possibility. Threshold is an ephemeral and dynamic project which will run for about 3 weeks comprising interventions in mud on the wall and a curtain on parchment paper with fragments of drawings that will be dividing the room. The images are born in emblematic structures that have been the source of my most recent work and both, on the walls and the central curtain,  evoke  domes,  pediments, arches, galleries, corridors and bridges. On the walls I “built” drawings containing overlapping layers of mud from templates obtained from mathematically elaborated drawings. The central curtain must have a key element in the lighting that will allow a double reading according to the place from which it is  appreciated. The title, THRESHOLD, also has a more specific meaning. In this case it refers to the breaking point where you go from one place to another across a limit beyond which the space becomes another.
